We went trick-or-treating to Gma's house early:
We carved pumpkins in 2 steps: Gutted them one day and gave them faces another.
Then we had a trick or treat party with Kyle and his cute kids.

Lily Talks
As related by Gpa Dave:
As related by Diane:
That Lily, she's a thinker.
Lily, how many boys live at our house?
mmm One
And how many girls do we have?
Too many!
Maybe we should get rid of someone. Should we get rid of grandpa?
No. Because then we would have no boys!
Who should we get rid of?
I think Diane. Because she's a party pooper.
As related by Diane:
I really love your necklace Aunt Diane. It's so beautiful.
Thank you.
Can I have it when you die?
Ok. I will be sure to give it to you when I die.
And then when you are resurrected, I will give it back to you!
That Lily, she's a thinker.

Fall Festivities
We've been playing with my cousin's kids a lot this month. My cousin just had 2 healthy twins this week, so we've been taking her other kids on outings every week. Last week the came to our house and Nate really got into the dress ups.
We checked out the Kaysville City Halloween Festival. The girls liked getting prizes for the carnival games. We watched a pie eating contest, and did a lot of dancing in the field to the fun music. Heidi didn't notice that the camera was on Movie mode for most of the night, so I tried to capture some pictures from the movies she took. Even after I fixed it though, she did get very good pictures. That's what I get for not doing it myself I guess. Oh well.
We were sick of the house one night so we went for a drive up the mountain to see the fall leaves. Well the road was closed, but we got to feed the ducks at the pond.

NIKI and her skills
Every morning after breakfast, we do the dishes. Niki's favorite job is emptying the silverware into the drawer. She loves it so much that she gets very upset when someone else does it without letting her help. She usually finishes by the time Lily does the rinsing (yes she loves her job too) and I do the rest.
Tyler requested a picture of Niki 'coloring' as she calls it. I didn't even realize how much she likes to do this, but she asks to color every time she sees a pencil.
Niki's favorite dress up is a large pair of blue underwear (originally for wearing under a ballet tutu). I'm still not sure why, but it is the first thing she tries to put on. I think it might be because no matter how you turn it, it goes on the same. She thinks it is a leotard that she pulls up over her shoulders. It's the only thing small enough to fit tight on her I guess.
And finally, DAH DA DAH!!!
She figured out a backbend all by herself. I still can't figure out how she learned it, but it's amazing to see something so little doing it.

Brightyn Visits
Brightyn came home for the weekend for the first time in forever, so naturally she took TONS of pictures.
TO QUOTE BRIGHTYN:
I
bought the Girls USU tattoos. Janna and Tyler are huge UofU fans and
they want their children to be Ute fans too. Since everyone in our
family goes to different School and Universities we have this family
battle of getting the girls to cheer for our own school's team. I have
to say that the girls loved their "Aggie Stickers". Nikki really loved
hers because she struggles saying the "U" sound for the Utes so she
loved saying "Aggie".
TO QUOTE BRIGHTYN:
Heidi went
to the homecoming dance so I was able to do her hair and help her geit
ready. She was so pretty. Pictures will be coming later. For Heidi's
day activity her date bought her a huge Rootbeer, which she only drank
about a quarter of it. Diane and I had Nikki on the counter trying to
get her do say her ABC's when she was distracted by the pop. She drank
almost the whole thing. Although it was completely unhealthy and spoiled
her lunch we had so much fun watching her drink it.
Lily
and I ran errands with Dad during the afternoon. We got sick of getting
out of the car sometimes and So when dad was in some stores we stayed
in the car and took pictures. Here are some of my favorite. Lily also
came up with all of the poses.

Picnics and Projects
Here's the pics from this week.
Friday we went to the Bountiful Park with our cousins Nate and Paul. We spent 2 whole hours at the park. It was fun to be outside on this beautiful day.
