Moving Week

Bear Lake and the Fourth of July

We had so much fun with our cousins at Bear Lake.

Lily's highlight was riding on the Wave Cutter. Her older cousin Nate was crying to get back in the boat, but not Lily. She even stood up and jumped on the seat while I held her. She's still a fish.


Niki's highlight was the "Pop" fireworks. She would carefully put them on the ground then stomp on them with her foot. "Bop" she would exclaim and clap and look to us for approval with a huge smile. Then she would hold out her hand for another one. She did this, one at a time, for half an hour.


We drove home on the 4th in time to do more fireworks with some other cousins. While the girls liked the up close show, Lily was scared of the loud noises. Niki just laughed and thought they were funny. Then we all met up and watched the big show in Kaysville that night. Yea fireworks.


Finally,

Lily and Niki discovered that grandma's highchair makes a great scooter. Niki climbed in by herself and Lily would push her around. I'm just glad we aren't staying there because such rough housing would drive me crazy. But one time is fun. Giggling Girls.

Ballings come to visit!

We had so much fun on our stay at home vacation with my Mom, Dad, and Heidi.  We tried to come up with the most exciting things Killeen and the surrounding area have to offer.  I think we visited almost every pool/water park in the area.  We really enjoyed just spending time together and were very sad to see them go.  We can't wait for the next time we get together.


 
We also caught Niki's first laugh on camera. I just can't get enough of the rolling giggles.

Nate and Ellen Visit Us

The girls had so much fun with the attention from Aunt "En" and "that guy" (as called by Lily). Ellen stayed with us an additional 4 days while Nate and Tyler were away for work. It was so nice to spend so much time together.

Blessing Day and Sharps Visit

Grandma Nancy and Gpa Bruce came to visit last weekend. Nancy took lots of Pictures of course. I'm so glad she did! We spent a fun day in Austin and the rest of the time just hanging out together.

Sunday was an eventful day for us.
Tyler was called to be the Elder's Quorum President.
After sacrament meeting, Tyler gave Niki her baby blessing. It was very nice and filled with joy from having her in our family. We hope she will enjoy the blessings of the gospel throughout her life.
After church for Mother's Day we had a great Sunday dinner fixed by Tyler and Bruce. Tyler and Lily made me a wonderful card and gave me supplies for a project (a AF camo purse).
It was a great day!

Kauai with the Sharps

We had so much fun playing on Kauai. It is our new favorite island of Hawaii. Big enough for variety, small enough to drive around in one day.

Also pictured is some of the fun stuff we did on our home island Oahu before we flew over to Kauai.

Aunt Cindy and Crazy Uncle Kyle

After a few days Lily quit screaming every time uncle Kyle looked at her and just smiled or laughed instead. We had fun exploring the island and just doing nothing. I love vacations at home.

Visitors!!!

We had so much fun with Tyler's family. Even though the weather wasn't perfect, we got to do EVERYTHING and more. Lily loved the attention, Tyler loved talking, Janna loved planning and organizing. It was a great vacation for us all. We miss you!

Nate's co-worker Janet came to visit (Nate is Tyler's brother who lives in Shanghi). We had fun showing her around the island. She got a kick out of Chinaman's Hat.

Grandma Nancy Visit

We had fun doing some not-so-touristy things: surfing, hiking on the North Shore, Columbus Day at the beach, and touring Kualoa Ranch. We mostly enjoyed just hanging out with good company. Thanks for coming to visit grandma!

Granny Sandi and Aunt Diane

We had visitors for 2 weeks plus (gotta love air travel). We had so much fun hanging out and seeing all the sights. What a fun vacation!

Gubler's Visit

Kyle and McKayla came to visit. It was perfect timing. We needed to get out of the house and start doing stuff. Lily got to do a lot of firsts (first beach trip, first restaurant, etc). We always have so much fun when we get to vacation with visitors.
