We went surfing as usual but more than our usual friends were there. We had a tent full of babies! Abby thought everyone was a toy and the other two alternated playing and sleeping. It's what babies do best. We big people all had fun catching a few waves.

Oh I see her. She's getting ready to surf."

Lily of the Day - Month 3
Lily is starting to smile and play. She loves her pacifier and her Dad. Cutie Pie. This month she learned to: keep the pacifier in her mouth, stand in her jumper, giggle and squeal, grab and eat her parrot, push her play piano keys, eat a bottle with formula in it, and smile for the camera. Smarty Pants!

Baby Stroller Relay
Lately we have been running on the track. That's right. One of us walks with the stroller while the other runs to catch up. Then we pass the baby baton and switch. The evenings are a great time when we can go together and it is not so hot outside!
We go frequently with our other friends that have new babies. Last night, Matt was walking alongside Leah (with Ben), Janna (with Lily), and Jenni (with Abby). It did look a bit like polygamy, but it was fun!
Janna's goal is 1 full mile, non-stop. It's slow progress, but she's getting there. Hopefully the exercise pays off.

Family Pictures
Lily had her picture taken "professionally" for the first time. We got the whole family in on the act. She was very cooperative and cute. It was a fun family outing!
These are just the thumbnails off of the OlanMills web page. If you want the real thing, we have to order them.![]()

Aiea Loop Hike
We had a free morning so we explored a new-to-us part of our island. We hiked the Aiea loop and then went for the "sort-cut" through the brush. It was a fun family adventure.

Kyle and McKayla came to visit. It was perfect timing. We needed to get out of the house and start doing stuff. Lily got to do a lot of firsts (first beach trip, first restaurant, etc). We always have so much fun when we get to vacation with visitors.

Lily of the Day - Month 1
Lily is one month old. Here are pictures from her everyday (well almost every day) up to now. She is such a good baby. She is starting to be awake in the mornings and evenings. She likes to sit and stare and listen. She likes lights, mirrors, and new sounds. She likes her car seat and beach bouncer. She does not like to sleep flat on her back, she likes to be propped up on a pillow. She has outgrown her premie onesies, but she still wears the pants as capris because she is so skinny. We love Lily!

Fourth of July
After a BBQ dinner, we went with our friends (Matt, Jenni, and Abby) to our church and watched all the fireworks around from the parking lot. The best showing were the ones on the Pearl Harbor base. There were people from all of the wards there who were all lighting their own little fireworks. Lily was mesmerized by the bright lights and noises. We are grateful for our nation's freedoms!
