The girls had fun with all their babysitters while I was gone for a week of backpacking. Lily got her first bee sting while jumping on the tramp in her swim suit. Niki was caught in the act while stuffing money into her diaper - how she decided that's what you do with money I'll never know.

Brightyn's Home

It was our first and last chance to have everyone together for a while so we had a homecoming party for Brightyn. We all received cool gifts from Del Sol that change color in the sun. It was fun to be together.

Ceiff and Tiny

Lily and Niki met their cousin Aaron (aka Cieff) for the first time. Of course they were so cute. Niki just couldn't believe that Lily's doll could move on his own. We said goodbye and Aaron went home to see his brother Isaac (aka Tiny) for the first time since birth. It was a great day of introductions.

Bear Lake and the Fourth of July

We had so much fun with our cousins at Bear Lake.

Lily's highlight was riding on the Wave Cutter. Her older cousin Nate was crying to get back in the boat, but not Lily. She even stood up and jumped on the seat while I held her. She's still a fish.


Niki's highlight was the "Pop" fireworks. She would carefully put them on the ground then stomp on them with her foot. "Bop" she would exclaim and clap and look to us for approval with a huge smile. Then she would hold out her hand for another one. She did this, one at a time, for half an hour.


We drove home on the 4th in time to do more fireworks with some other cousins. While the girls liked the up close show, Lily was scared of the loud noises. Niki just laughed and thought they were funny. Then we all met up and watched the big show in Kaysville that night. Yea fireworks.


Finally,

Lily and Niki discovered that grandma's highchair makes a great scooter. Niki climbed in by herself and Lily would push her around. I'm just glad we aren't staying there because such rough housing would drive me crazy. But one time is fun. Giggling Girls.

Getting Pictures Taken

Getting them taken was one thing, actually getting prints so that we can look at them has been another. Does anyone want prints or wallets?

When I took the girls to get their pictures taken, I knew just what I wanted. We've been going to the same studio for a year now so I knew what props and backgrounds to use and just what outfits would be the cutest. I even set the girls up in poses and got them to smile for the camera. Niki is getting so wiggly that I worked hard that day. So hard that I almost wonder what we paid the girl working there for, pushing the button?
